Strolling through Burlingame on a crisp spring evening, we stumbled upon Capri Lasagneria—a charming little eatery that immediately caught our attention. The outdoor tables looked inviting, the bar inside glowed warmly, and rustic wicker lamps gave the space a cozy, old-world feel. But what really drew us in was the name. A restaurant dedicated to lasagna? We had to check it out.

We put our name down for a table and returned an hour later, excited to see if the food lived up to the atmosphere. From the moment we sat down, the experience felt special. We were welcomed with a plate of warm focaccia and a full bottle of olive oil—a simple but thoughtful touch that set the tone for the meal.

To start, we ordered the pomegranate and arugula salad, which was light, fresh, and the perfect balance of peppery and sweet.

Then came the main event—lasagna. Each of us picked a different one, and every single pan arrived bubbling hot, perfectly portioned, and packed with flavor.

I went with the zucchini and corn lasagna with pesto, a unique combination that was unlike any lasagna I’ve had before. It was creamy, cheesy, and bursting with freshness—absolutely divine.

My husband opted for the Italian sausage lasagna, based on our server’s recommendation, and it turned out to be just the right amount of spicy and hearty.

Our daughter chose the Pollo Alla Vodka lasagna with chicken, caramelized onions, and vodka sauce, and she polished off every last bite.

We had our eyes on the tiramisu, but after indulging in all that lasagna, we just couldn’t make room. Next time, for sure!
